We become what we think about
The future is not defined by the past, it is defined by your objectives, your decisions and your consistency in sticking to them.

We become what we think about

Interestingly simple right?

But this website is actual proof. I did not study this at school and did not see this at work.

But guess what?

The future is not defined by the past, it is defined by your objectives, your decisions and your consistency in sticking to them.

Starting there...

Think of your spirit, it's probably your most valued possession.

But what are you doing to actually become the person you envision yourslef to be? Do you have the courage to live up to that ambition? Are you actually standing behind your ideas? Are you actually helping those around you do the same?

Think of your mind, it is a spunge for information.

But are you feeding it with what you should? What would you usually do when you are free, watch a football match or read a book? And don't take me wrong, I'm not saying that one is better than the other, but do your actions get you one step closer to your objectives?

Are you feeding it enough? I always liked numbers, and in this case it's simple. Let's take the example of learning a foreign language, FSI indicates you can reach fluency in group 1 languages  (French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Swahili) in 480 hours. But what does that mean in practice? It depends on how much time you decide to invest on a daily basis. If you invest 8 hours per day it will take you 60 days to reach fluency, if you invest 2 hours per day it will take you 240 days, if you invest 1 hour per week it will take you 3.360 days. See where i'm getting at?

Or to the contrary, are you pushing yourself too hard? Then maybe you should take some time to meditate and rest. Trust me, both do magic.

Think of your bodyit is the image of the 2 above.

But are you actually doing the sculpting today? Or is it the other way around? And as I like to make things concrete I will tell you another story. Before last month I had never tried to do 100 pushups. But still I knew that my body would follow what I tell it to do. So I decided to give this a go for I thought this to be a perfect proof of concept. Of course I could not do them all in one set, but that did not stop me when I fell to get back up and keep on pushing.

And so, I leave these ideas with you and hope they will give you a small edge in what comes ahead.
